Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Neal Weatherby got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Kerville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pere Villanueva in the 6 minute of the game. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute Rick Souness shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Kerville breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Mccartan in the 29th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pere Villanueva's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pere Villanueva helped the player get up and apologised. Pere Villanueva kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match Jonathan Venegas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Kerville skillfully saved the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. Neal Weatherby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Steven Chaptal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 61st minute, Rick Souness got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Christian Kerville skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Pere Villanueva got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby. But to his dismay, Neal Weatherby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Christian Kerville made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elderslie Magpies's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Chaptal in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Steven Chaptal came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steven Chaptal's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Elderslie Magpies's Rick Souness got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Christian Kerville when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sam Mccartan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elderslie Magpies were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
