Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerim Altunbaş in the 69th minute of the match. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Ciruel Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. 78 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kerim Altunbaş came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kerim Altunbaş went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
