When Luis Andino fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Luis Andino a yellow card for diving instead. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Siim Kikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 29th minute of play. Siim Kikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cristian Sancho scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Siim Kikas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siim Kikas saved De Gulden Draak from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Gert Porsche kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-3 via right post in the game's 57th minute. Ecuador's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Siim Kikas in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
