Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Chan in the 13th minute of the match. Victor Chan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Redbourn AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Shafiq Chien-Kwan in the 17th minute. The corner led Redbourn AFC's Victor Chan to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes, Redbourn AFC's Shafiq Chien-Kwan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Redbourn AFC reached it. Afiz Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afiz Teo. Redbourn AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afiz Teo having to interfere. Redbourn AFC's Afiz Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Chan in the 37th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afiz Teo having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hidayat Peng in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Teo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Teo in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Camilo Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. 61 minutes into the match, Jonathan Soon notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Victor Ching might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Ching ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Chan in the 91st minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
