When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Sven-Åke Markusson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Sven-Åke Markusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of the match. Sven-Åke Markusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ciudad Tao FC's Sven-Åke Markusson. After 20 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Åke Markusson came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven-Åke Markusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Åke Markusson. Ciudad Tao FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Albert Dahlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Sven-Åke Markusson however easily saved by the left post. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cristian Sancho got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score.
