But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, Magne Browall notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66thth minute of the game Brooks Shields who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. 崔博珂 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 86th minute of play. After 93 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ocampo. 龙强凡 took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
