Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 12th match minute, SC Freiburg 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Bragança to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 09's Raul Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 09's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Ivo Guterres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SC Freiburg 09's Raul Leal in the 21st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jonathan Ferrant was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Venezuela through an amazing save. If Raul Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abílio Passos got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivo Guterres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. In the 35th minute of the match Mehmet Ferit İsmet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Vasco Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 09's Máximo Lameiras got a free kick in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raul Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Brás in the 51st minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Raul Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Brás came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Nuno Bragança managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Freiburg 09's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Bragança was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Venezuela's Jose Correa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Máximo Lameiras, made in the 67th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abílio Passos in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Raul Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Freiburg 09 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Leal went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 76 played minutes SC Freiburg 09 got a freekick which was hit by David Martínez. SC Freiburg 09's Ivo Guterres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save SC Freiburg 09 from getting a goal against them. If Vasco Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasco Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Raul Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Ferit İsmet in the 94th minute of play.
