Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Don Merlot started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 3rd minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Kryspin Cupial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 3rd match minute, SSV Ulm 1846 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albrecht Bosbach to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kryspin Cupial quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. SSV Ulm 1846's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Luca Rouco to fire away a dangerous shot which Kryspin Cupial despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 14th minute of the game Macos Graciani made a throw-in which Alberto Tafalla played forward. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kryspin Cupial having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Kryspin Cupial. SSV Ulm 1846's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Kryspin Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Don Merlot might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Merlot ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kryspin Cupial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niclas Monschke, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 35 minutes of play, SSV Ulm 1846's Niclas Monschke made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don Merlot. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kryspin Cupial. Kryspin Cupial dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, SSV Ulm 1846's Benedetto Prüfer got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kryspin Cupial breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Niclas Monschke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. With a little luck, SSV Ulm 1846's Kryspin Cupial got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to SSV Ulm 1846 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Niclas Monschke hit a great ball. When Luca Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Zorita couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Don Merlot came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Niclas Monschke sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SSV Ulm 1846's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kryspin Cupial came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Cupial saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kryspin Cupial didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Kryspin Cupial came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rdth minute of the game Don Merlot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing SSV Ulm 1846 to leave the ground with a draw.
