Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Napoleon Marchlewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Florian Fiszer hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Rafal Huratiak in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Federer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafal Huratiak in the 40th minute. KP Chemik Police's Roger Federer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play. Roger Federer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ecuador booed when KP Chemik Police was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Dziedziak didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Roger Federer managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in KP Chemik Police's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 77th minute, Napoleon Marchlewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, KP Chemik Police's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Roger Federer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafal Huratiak in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. KP Chemik Police were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
