Kenneth Strandsgaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Amager FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sigvald Maya hit a great ball. Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kenneth Strandsgaard having to make a save. Kenneth Strandsgaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Birger Strømvad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After having played for 47 minutes, Birger Strømvad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amager FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birger Strømvad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Guillermo Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Amager FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Erhard Lovelady hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erhard Lovelady charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erhard Lovelady the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd match minute, Amager FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erhard Lovelady to maneuver through the defense. In the 65thth minute Venezuela's Camilo Gaos made a couple of brazen moves and fired away a shot to the left hand side of Amager FC's goalie, Kenneth Strandsgaard, understanding what was about to happen, managed to get hold of the ball just before it went behind the net. A nice save by Kenneth Strandsgaard. After having played for 72 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amager FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
