In the 10th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaldas Grikšas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. At last the ball reached Felix Montes at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Absoliut. 0-3. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaldas Grikšas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Absoliut's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaldas Grikšas came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaldas Grikšas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 25th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigitas Barasa in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaldas Grikšas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Absoliut's Evaldas Grikšas did a great save. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Absoliut's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Evaldas Grikšas quite easily take care of the ball. Evaldas Grikšas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Absoliut's Evaldas Grikšas did a great save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Evaldas Grikšas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaldas Grikšas having to interfere. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Evaldas Grikšas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Evaldas Grikšas in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Evaldas Grikšas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Absoliut's Evaldas Grikšas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Luis Andino advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-5 in the 69th minute. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Evaldas Grikšas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Evaldas Grikšas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaldas Grikšas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 91 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Evaldas Grikšas managed to make a qualified save. Absoliut's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Absoliut's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaldas Grikšas came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaldas Grikšas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Absoliut's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Absoliut's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
