Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jay Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 9th minute of play. In the 17th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Jowsey having to interfere. Neville Ciscaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jay Jowsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 33rd minute of play. Luca Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jay Jowsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergen Sergen's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alan Said made a kick off. The supporters of Mexico booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergen Sergen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jay Jowsey skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Adrian Grech got a free kick in the 57th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergen Sergen in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attard Gunners's Jay Jowsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 74th minute of play. After 75 minutes Attard Gunners's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jay Jowsey in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 77th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neville Ciscaldi in the 80th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Jay Jowsey threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Jay Jowsey in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute Adrian Savona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attard Gunners's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
