Sylwester Majorski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 46 minutes into the match, Olimpia Koło's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Pawel Madej reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuan Xu Lei hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The corner led to Olimpia Koło's Sylwester Majorski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Olimpia Koło to leave the ground with a draw.
