With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cheng De Jing saved GoldDiam V55 from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Barbosu in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Paveliuc in the 9th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 16th minute Sabin Bugariu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Radu Pacurar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliodor Barbosu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 21 minute of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cheng De Jing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheng De Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, GoldDiam V55's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sabin Bugariu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Cheng De Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes GoldDiam V55's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheng De Jing having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Barbosu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vintilă Dogaru's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Dogaru helped the player get up and apologised. Vintilă Dogaru kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheng De Jing having to interfere. Cheng De Jing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Vintilă Dogaru kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. GoldDiam V55's Cheng De Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute of play.
