After having played for 10 minutes, Larkins Potter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Larkins Potter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Larkins Potter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Wara's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cheb El-Hadi in the 14th minute. A collision led to Wara getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zdenek Klíma hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias Urdaspal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elias Urdaspal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Larkins Potter came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wara's Elias Urdaspal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 26th minute of play. Elias Urdaspal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 29th minute of the match. Faouzi Louahla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Elias Urdaspal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Elias Urdaspal made a huge save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larkins Potter in the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Wara got a freekick which was hit by Jēkabs Pirtslāva. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Larkins Potter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Urdaspal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias Urdaspal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larkins Potter in the 67th minute of play. Elias Urdaspal made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Jean-Baptiste Boulebda kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. With his leg Elias Urdaspal managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Ecuador's Felix Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elias Urdaspal made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Elias Urdaspal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Wara defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Urdaspal. The Wara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Urdaspal should have stopped the shot. Ecuador played a much better game than Wara and deserved their victory. The Wara players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
