If Slawomir Plech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachary Majczyk having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute of the match, Slawomir Plech tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zachary Majczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Slawomir Plech fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunners ARS's protests and gave Slawomir Plech a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gunners ARS getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Slawomir Plech hit a great ball. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mieszko Augustyniak in the 33rd minute of play. After 37 played minutes Gunners ARS got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszko Bejger. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Zachary Majczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Maciej Tokarczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zachary Majczyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. The supporters of Gunners ARS booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslaw Wydrych, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gunners ARS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
