Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patrik Johansson started the match with the kick off. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Georg Giliusson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th match minute, Quetzal Flyers Hammers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikard Sjögren to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Giliusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Georg Giliusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Quetzal Flyers Hammers getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Birger Nordmark hit a great ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Georg Giliusson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Giliusson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Quetzal Flyers Hammers's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Giliusson came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Georg Giliusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 35th minute of play forced Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Georg Giliusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Quetzal Flyers Hammers defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Giliusson. The Quetzal Flyers Hammers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Giliusson should have stopped the shot. In the 37th match minute, Quetzal Flyers Hammers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Kollberg to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Giliusson. Georg Giliusson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ragnar Sundberg's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ragnar Sundberg helped the player get up and apologised. Ragnar Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Giliusson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After having played for 48 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Krister Torstensson's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Krister Torstensson helped the player get up and apologised. Rikard Sjögren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Quetzal Flyers Hammers getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Birger Nordmark hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Georg Giliusson, 0-5. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Krister Torstensson got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Krister Torstensson off the ground. Krister Torstensson hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Kevin Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Giliusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georg Giliusson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Quetzal Flyers Hammers defense, Juan Sebastián Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Giliusson. The Quetzal Flyers Hammers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Giliusson should have stopped the shot. In the 86th match minute, Quetzal Flyers Hammers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Johansson to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Johansson in the 96th minute of play. When Agustín Saelices fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Agustín Saelices a yellow card for diving instead. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Patrik Johansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
