Hala Madrid Iraki FC's André Kuipers quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Camilo Gisbert, made in the 79th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Chip Potterton got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruben Montez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Sjögren in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Sjögren came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hala Madrid Iraki FC throughout the match.
