In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristen Gulskov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Ree, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Albinus Alking sent off a good shot on target. Monks in Robes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fidel Havier in the 16th minute. Albinus Alking could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 21st match minute, Monks in Robes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihăiţă Opriș to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kristen Gulskov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albinus Alking got free with Julio Vera in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albinus Alking in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. In the 43rd minute, Axel Ree got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Ree in the 45th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albinus Alking, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albinus Alking in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Axel Ree who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Garmer in the 63rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albinus Alking in the 64th minute of play. Felix Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Kristen Gulskov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Ree in the 68th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albinus Alking, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Kris Garmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kristen Gulskov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Juan Sebastián Puig fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Juan Sebastián Puig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Ree in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albinus Alking in the 84th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Garmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 minutes, Axel Ree mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monks in Robes and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Axel Ree hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Albinus Alking stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Albinus Alking tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rikki Askhim hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Monks in Robes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ecuador's performance. The match ended with a win for Ecuador.
