Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válter Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Válter Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of the match. After 19 minutes forsal FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Milagros Fraga heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 22 minutes into the game, Patricio Eneto threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válter Tasso saved forsal FC from getting behind. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Attilio Pani in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, forsal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Válter Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play forced forsal FC's goalkeeper Válter Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Patricio Eneto in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Peru got a corner. forsal FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that forsal FC's Válter Tasso managed to reach the ball for a save. Válter Tasso had great luck who in the 54thth minute grab hold of the ball when Julian Murillo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With his leg Válter Tasso managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Válter Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 60th minute of the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Pani in the 63rd minute of play. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Patricio Eneto with Emiliano Lucchetta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 78th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válter Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, forsal FC's Válter Tasso got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attilio Pani in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Válter Tasso in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 93 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. forsal FC made a substitution. Attilio Bordon replaced Elia Bucciarelli. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. The forsal FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
