Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Daniel Cazacu sent off a good shot on target. C.F Intercity's Jeremie Van Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 9th minute of play. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute, Song Xiao Li hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremie Van Nel having to interfere. In the 27th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremie Van Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Cazacu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Daniel Cazacu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremie Van Nel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremie Van Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremie Van Nel. Jeremie Van Nel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Moises Gayoso kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Cazacu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rolando Noboa. That made the score 2-1 in the 48 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Cazacu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. The supporters of C.F Intercity booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Moises Gayoso in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.F Intercity's Song Xiao Li. Brandon Stamp made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Efraim Gilabert. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Jeremie Van Nel in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Jeremie Van Nel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Jeremie Van Nel in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeremie Van Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Cazacu came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. Olivar Ribeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olivar Ribeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 80th minute of play forced C.F Intercity's goalkeeper Jeremie Van Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremie Van Nel. That made the score 2-2 after 84 minutes of play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Olivar Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, C.F Intercity's Olivar Ribeiro made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because C.F Intercity had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
