After the first half Mexico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Luca Zorita put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of 邱霖义. Felix Luque made in the 96th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Lautaro Mancebo immediately put the ball in play. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
