Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Belcho Hlebarov in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Belcho Hlebarov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Belcho Hlebarov really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Belcho Hlebarov might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belcho Hlebarov ran back to his position shaking his head. Belcho Hlebarov took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. ЦСКА's Anzhelo Gerushin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 27th minute of play. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Belcho Hlebarov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ЦСКА fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Belcho Hlebarov was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belcho Hlebarov in the 57th minute of play. ЦСКА's Anzhelo Gerushin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save ЦСКА from getting a goal against them. Anzhelo Gerushin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 63rd minute of play. When ЦСКА's Belcho Hlebarov in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. ЦСКА's Belcho Hlebarov got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dancho Vamporov struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ЦСКА. In the 84th minute, Belcho Hlebarov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belcho Hlebarov succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ЦСКА fully deserved thier win.
