When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean-Paul Schuiling made a kick off. The supporters of SV Wissenkerke booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerjan Staarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59thth minute of the game Jean-Paul Schuiling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 60 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. In the 63rd minute, Gertjan Baars ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 65 minutes, Ronny Koole mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Wissenkerke and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. SV Wissenkerke's Jean-Paul Schuiling got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, SV Wissenkerke's Jean-Paul Schuiling made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Paul Schuiling in the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Benito Sanz had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Mariano Bombarda's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gerjan Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd match minute, SV Wissenkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Paul Schuiling to maneuver through the defense.
