All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klement Pawlak to make the kick off. Tony Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 54th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Westbam got a freekick which was hit by Juliusz Gorzkiewicz. When Teodoro Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westbam's protests and gave Teodoro Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Teodoro Rocha hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The Westbam fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The referee gave Teodoro Rocha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Honduras's Christian Sancho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Czeslaw Furgat, made in the 90th minute of the game. Aldo Buinton kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Westbam's Tony Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Westbam from getting a goal against them. Many of Honduras's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Honduras may have spent more time on the ball, but Westbam were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
