Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Evstati Shushev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Evstati Shushev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 5th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Merexildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Qarabulud La Forgia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes Oscar Mulero's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Evstati Shushev quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efrain Merexildo in the 20th minute. Evstati Shushev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evstati Shushev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evstati Shushev. Evstati Shushev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Evstati Shushev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Efrain Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evstati Shushev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. Evstati Shushev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oscar Mulero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Oscar Mulero's Evstati Shushev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oscar Mulero's goalkeeper Evstati Shushev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evstati Shushev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Qarabulud La Forgia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Daniel Zorita in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Evstati Shushev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Evstati Shushev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 温树峰 in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Oscar Mulero's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Qarabulud La Forgia struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oscar Mulero. In the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 71st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Mulero made a substitution. David Zamora replaced Efrain Merexildo. 74 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evstati Shushev, 0-4. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Zamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 温树峰 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Oscar Mulero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Barajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, David Zamora kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 温树峰 in the 90th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Oscar Mulero's 温树峰. But to his dismay, 温树峰 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Oscar Mulero's David Zamora. But to his dismay, David Zamora quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The Ecuador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ecuador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
