Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Máximo Azeredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gez Eyre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gez Eyre came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the White Eagles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gez Eyre couldn't finish the play. The White Eagles FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
