Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) White Eagles FC's Gez Eyre started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the game, Gez Eyre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Gez Eyre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play forced White Eagles FC's goalkeeper Máximo Azeredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Máximo Azeredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after White Eagles FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Máximo Azeredo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 20th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Máximo Azeredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Matty Robson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Cartwright in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matty Robson. In the 33rd minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Máximo Azeredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Sebastián Puig during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Máximo Azeredo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máximo Azeredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Máximo Azeredo. White Eagles FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind White Eagles FC's goalkeeper Máximo Azeredo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, White Eagles FC's Steve Buckley broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Máximo Azeredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, Matty Robson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. White Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matty Robson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Jeffrey Barratt kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steve Buckley's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Máximo Azeredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Máximo Azeredo made a huge save.
