Ivan Čižmár was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Peru. Luz Tejedor stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Miroslav Motuz. 0-2. Martin Slaninka kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. FC XY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Julian Murillo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Miroslav Motuz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute of the game Alonso Berganza made a throw-in which Moises Gayoso played forward. 34 minutes into the match, FC XY's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Miroslav Motuz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miroslav Motuz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miroslav Motuz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. FC XY's Daniel Pavlovič was substituted for Ján Krempašský. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Martin Slaninka in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. 53 minutes into the game, Martin Slaninka threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 55th minute of play forced FC XY's goalkeeper Miroslav Motuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miroslav Motuz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. FC XY's Miroslav Motuz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 61st minute of play. After 62 minutes FC XY's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Peru's Eliseo Mina getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orhan Veli Mirac, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Miroslav Motuz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC XY's goalkeeper Miroslav Motuz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. In the 84th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Eliseo Mina went to the cornerflag to take it. Martin Slaninka made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. After a rather tough play, FC XY's Martin Slaninka got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Peru booed when FC XY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Slaninka didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 95th minute of the game was made by Martin Slaninka with Vern Bird as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Gabriel Ižvolt hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
