Julio Vera was a little too slow when Stefan Mathiassen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-1. Hugo Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of the match. Hugo Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Ignado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Ignado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Hugo Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FRANK's Hugo Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. Esteban Ignado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes FRANK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo Moraes quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Andino got free with Hugo Moraes in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Andino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Moraes came out and tried to block the shot, but Luis Andino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Sebastián Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Hugo Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 62nd minute Håvard Levang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FRANK's Hugo Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save FRANK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 66th minute of play forced FRANK's goalkeeper Hugo Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FRANK's Hugo Moraes got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 84th minute. Esteban Ignado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.
