In the 60th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joery Van Mechelen to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Tomas Berganza sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen didn't even have to move. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andries Van Mechelen. YR Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.
