Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. A collision led to FC Werdenberg getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Lazarus Kurmann hit a great ball. Manuel Lajoie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evgeniy Babich in the 6th minute of play. Manuel Lajoie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Felix Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Werdenberg's Manuel Lajoie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th match minute, FC Werdenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evgeniy Babich to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, FC Werdenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Manuel Lajoie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Caragea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 19th minute, FC Werdenberg's Tudor Caragea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. FC Werdenberg's Manuel Lajoie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. Manuel Lajoie came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, FC Werdenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Manuel Lajoie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Werdenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tudor Caragea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tudor Caragea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Manuel Lajoie threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 62 minutes into the match, Tudor Caragea notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tudor Caragea in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Werdenberg's Tudor Caragea. But to his dismay, Tudor Caragea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. Evgeniy Babich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Manuel Lajoie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evgeniy Babich blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. After having played for 92 minutes, Tudor Caragea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Werdenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tudor Caragea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The FC Werdenberg players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
