With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Miguel Rochedo's 宋凡谦 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th play minute 宋凡谦 came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jacobo Nores. 1-0. 宋凡谦 in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The referee showed Hector Covarrubias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Covarrubias to maneuver through the defense. 陈辉铮 hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 宋凡谦 was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Miguel Rochedo getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. 柯战泉 hit a great ball. 51 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when 程夕志 came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 柯战泉 might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 柯战泉 ran back to his position shaking his head. 程夕志 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Covarrubias got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Hector Covarrubias hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 宋凡谦 in the 70 minute of the game. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 程夕志, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jaime Pardo fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Jaime Pardo a yellow card for diving instead. Jaime Pardo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 宋凡谦 in the 77th minute of play. In the 77thth minute of the game 程夕志 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 柯战泉 struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miguel Rochedo. After 85 minutes of play Miguel Rochedo's 于俊耀 was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Miguel Rochedo's 于俊耀 got a free kick in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the game, 程夕志 threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the referee blew the final whistle, Miguel Rochedo could leave the field as winners, despite Paraguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
