A collision led to Heineken Youths getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Strong Body hit a great ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boukjan van Dongen in the 23rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar van Rijswijk charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar van Rijswijk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgar van Rijswijk hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Steen Müür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Boukjan van Dongen came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Boukjan van Dongen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 39th minute of play forced Heineken Youths's goalkeeper Steen Müür to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Camilo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boukjan van Dongen struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heineken Youths. If Strong Body had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan van Dongen in the 55th minute of play. Edgar van Rijswijk hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Boukjan van Dongen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Heineken Youths's goalkeeper Steen Müür had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. After 79 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Boukjan van Dongen who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Heineken Youths's Steve Heikens getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan van Dongen in the 83rd minute of play. Steen Müür made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 84th minute. Heineken Youths's Steen Müür played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 86th minute of play. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steen Müür having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Strong Body in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Steen Müür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
