When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Cristian Sancho sped through Memphis Grizzlies's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mattias Sawyer. The audience was convinced that Stuart Banks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Billy Watkinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Memphis Grizzlies's Nicky Sansom got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mattias Sawyer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Mattias Sawyer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 52 minute of play. Memphis Grizzlies's Jack Greenfield was substituted for Calvin Croft. Nicky Sansom hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Hislop in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mattias Sawyer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Hislop in the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Ty Hislop kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The Memphis Grizzlies fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Memphis Grizzlies's Ty Hislop looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Memphis Grizzlies.
