The supporters of Mexico booed when Pampas Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Işıkalp Sani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Piorno Zamora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 10 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lekumberri Labarra. Lekumberri Labarra scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik de Nooter in the 28th minute of play. Piorno Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute.
