Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gilmar Couto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Silas Lara made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Gilmar Couto put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 11th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilmar Couto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Gilmar Couto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jailson Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilmar Couto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 24 minute of play. Botafogo MZRJ's attentive Léo Baptista managed to snatch the ball when Joshua Secada made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. Botafogo MZRJ's José Vítor Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jailson Capixaba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Gilmar Couto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botafogo MZRJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. José Vítor Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Léo Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper José Vítor Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. 60 minutes into the game, Gilmar Couto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 66thth minute of the game Gilmar Couto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Couto came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Couto in the 74th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Botafogo MZRJ made a substitution. Antônio Lopez replaced Jailson Capixaba. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Gilmar Couto sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Couto in the 87th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Vítor Netto. Patricio Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 9-1. In the 93rd minute, Gilmar Couto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botafogo MZRJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Botafogo MZRJ fully deserved thier win.
