Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manwë Vala, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Manwë Vala tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Rigg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Alfred Hajto struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Valar. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Aulë Vala sent off a good shot on target. Xavier Figueroa took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emmanuel Canturri. Emmanuel Canturri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manwë Vala in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute The Valar were awarded a corner. Alfred Hajto went to the cornerflag to take it. After 31 minutes The Valar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Mariano Lacasa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emmanuel Canturri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 35 minutes into the game, Chile's Xavier Figueroa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emmanuel Canturri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Manwë Vala came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Rigg in the 40th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Emmanuel Canturri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Francisco Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. Mariano Lacasa's late challenge caught a The Valar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Lacasa helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice moves Guillermo Fontirroig could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Emmanuel Canturri however easily saved by the left post. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manwë Vala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Valar's Emmanuel Canturri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save The Valar from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute, Aulë Vala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Manwë Vala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Constantin Hrebenciuc in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chile's Alan Tamayo. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chile played a much better game than The Valar and deserved their victory. The The Valar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
