Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Curiphila Eagles's Kjell Sjöö. Kjell Sjöö was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Erik Vihonský tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper Kjell Sjöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Curiphila Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Cristian Vides thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Kjell Sjöö, a very annoying self made goal in the 11th minute which led to 0-2. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjell Sjöö read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Kjell Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Curiphila Eagles getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. 狄珂益 hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Sá came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Lúcio Sá made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 39 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Kjell Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell Sjöö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Curiphila Eagles's Erik Vihonský got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kjell Sjöö having to make a save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Sá in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo Reis who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Kjell Sjöö in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell Sjöö was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Curiphila Eagles made a substitution. Téo Vianna replaced Vince Van Hooveldt. Curiphila Eagles's Waldir de Amaral was substituted for Cristian Vides. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Curiphila Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When Lúcio Sá came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Curiphila Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Sá couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
