In the 4th minute of the match ISPARTASPOR U21 got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Behzat Amir ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joško Van Landschoot in the 7th minute. Joško Van Landschoot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. 9 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Joško Van Landschoot came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Kevin Mastache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michel van der Bij. ISPARTASPOR U21's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Mastache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luis Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 20th minute, but Pedro Manzanares got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Colombia hanging dry this time. 24 minutes into the match, ISPARTASPOR U21's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Carballar came free, but Michel van der Bij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Colombia's Abram Sarmiento in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Michel van der Bij showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Omar Gelmiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ISPARTASPOR U21's Michel van der Bij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel van der Bij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel van der Bij showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Gelmiro to make the kick off. After 59 minutes, Luis Cazalla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colombia and the ISPARTASPOR U21 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luis Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Joško Van Landschoot struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ISPARTASPOR U21. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joško Van Landschoot in the 63rd minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 67th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Michel van der Bij was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for ISPARTASPOR U21 through an amazing save. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 71st minute. ISPARTASPOR U21's Sol Campbell was substituted for Suelo De Toro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. After 73 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Michel van der Bij showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Joško Van Landschoot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. ISPARTASPOR U21 made a substitution. Mitch Batshuayi replaced Joško Van Landschoot. 82 minutes into the game, Sol Campbell threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Abram Secada in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michel van der Bij, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Michel van der Bij took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Colombia's Michel van der Bij threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignacio Mastache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Abram Secada put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Michel van der Bij. Michel van der Bij stood somewhat misplaced when Abram Secada came free in front of goal and shot 2-4 to the left of him in the 96 minute. Colombia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
