Nutridal F.C.'s Hulk Hugan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Villahoz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulk Hugan having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregorio Cayuso, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hulk Hugan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hulk Hugan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Nutridal F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Nutridal F.C.'s Hulk Hugan managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 31st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Nutridal F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Hulk Hugan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Radomil Marajda thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Hulk Hugan, a very annoying self made goal in the 31st minute which led to 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hulk Hugan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hulk Hugan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Nutridal F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominguez Artaza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hulk Hugan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaapo Stein in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaapo Stein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaapo Stein's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 66th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Hulk Hugan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Faustino Villahoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nutridal F.C.'s Juan-Pablo Bevia got a free kick in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Hulk Hugan in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Felix Montes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hulk Hugan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Hulk Hugan however easily saved by the left post. Hulk Hugan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute. Hulk Hugan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hulk Hugan made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Gregorio Cayuso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
