In the 44th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Mina to maneuver through the defense. When Luz Tejedor came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Tejedor couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mei Yao Di made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Yuan Bin Liang however managed to control. Luz Tejedor scored 2-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giannis Konstantinou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
