Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ettore Puglielli came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 62nd minute. Ettore Puglielli stood somewhat misplaced when Daniel Zorita came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 66 minute. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ettore Puglielli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ettore Puglielli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Amerigo Cesarini kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Ettore Puglielli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ettore Puglielli came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 93rd minute.
