When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Primitivo Andino made in the 7th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joachim Högman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Ecuador's Primitivo Andino managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Per-Arne Björkqvist in the 12 minute of the game. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Joachim Högman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hardas Dunđer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Högman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Primitivo Andino in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Gustav Kihlberg. In the 28th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Högman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Joachim Högman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cato Onstad took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Primitivo Andino made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. After 40 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joachim Högman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Hardas Dunđer made the kick off in the second half. Primitivo Andino made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Agustín Saelices immediately put the ball in play. Primitivo Andino made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Mattias Lenberg. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustav Kihlberg in the 58th minute. Gustav Kihlberg charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustav Kihlberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gustav Kihlberg hit a great ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Cato Onstad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС were awarded a corner. Gustav Kihlberg went to the cornerflag to take it. Gustav Kihlberg made a great header on Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 68 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joachim Högman. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Piotr Palzewicz was substituted for Matias Loureiro. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Joachim Högman threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristian Sancho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Primitivo Andino made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cristian Sancho. A hard shot 78 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Joachim Högman managed to make a qualified save. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's players were relieved. Joachim Högman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of the match. Joachim Högman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Stigsson. The Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
