Cato Onstad had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cato Onstad in the 17th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cato Onstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Bernt Stigsson struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС. After 47 played minutes Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС got a freekick which was hit by Matias Loureiro. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hardas Dunđer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cato Onstad in the 52nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joachim Högman having to make a save. Joachim Högman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bernt Stigsson hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the game Piotr Palzewicz made a throw-in which Freddie Bergren played forward. After 84 minutes of play, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Cato Onstad made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Högman having to interfere. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's Mattias Lenberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 89 minute of the game. 92 minutes into the match, Hardas Dunđer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hardas Dunđer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
