A collision led to MALAIA FDFDF getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mazinho Correia hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in MALAIA FDFDF's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmiro Negri came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abraham Alguacil's late challenge caught a MALAIA FDFDF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abraham Alguacil helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belmiro Negri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Basaik in the 27th minute of play. Belmiro Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, MALAIA FDFDF's Romildo Binder dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 47th minute, Panama's Felipe Ros seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felipe Ros the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felipe Ros had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 46th minute, one of Panama:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panama. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lubomír Meszároš was the one to do the kick off. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romildo Binder went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 58th play minutes Romildo Binder shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Marcos Cotilla and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to MALAIA FDFDF getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Romildo Binder hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Romildo Binder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romildo Binder's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lubomír Meszároš in the 69th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Belmiro Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lubomír Meszároš went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MALAIA FDFDF fully deserved thier win.
