Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roberto da Fonseca in the 3rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. When Jonathan Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jonathan Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the game, Roberto da Fonseca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Roberto da Fonseca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Sorin Cartiș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Sorin Cartiș in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto da Fonseca in the 36th minute of play. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Bogdan Stelea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Roberto da Fonseca sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Sorin Cartiș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC DINAMO Bucuresti's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Stelea came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogdan Stelea having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, FC DINAMO Bucuresti's goalkeeper Bogdan Stelea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 64thth minute of the game Roberto da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Bogdan Stelea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute Roberto da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Bogdan Stelea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Cartiș came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto da Fonseca took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Patricio Costa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bogdan Stelea came out and tried to block the shot, but Patricio Costa slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 94th minute. There was no doubt that FC DINAMO Bucuresti were the better team. FC DINAMO Bucuresti's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
