Colombia's Kevin Mastache was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but José Luis Chilavert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling René Puente in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonel Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of René Puente's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute of the match, Ignacio Mastache tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Luis Chilavert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepe Rojas in the 83rd minute of the match. Pepe Rojas spun around in front of the goal 83 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Colombia's goal.
