In the 6th minute of the match Felix Montenegro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inocencio Felipo skillfully saved the ball. Selçuk Demirtaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 13th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Selçuk Demirtaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Orlando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 20th minute of the game Primitivo Andino made a throw-in which Juan Sebastián Puig played forward. Orlando Orlando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Orlando's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when One Piece FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selçuk Demirtaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Inocencio Felipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute of the match. Orlando Orlando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. When Orlando Orlando came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the One Piece FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Orlando couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Felipo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inocencio Felipo came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Orlando in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Selçuk Demirtaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Serapio Reigada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The One Piece FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 88th minute Orlando Orlando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Orlando Orlando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, One Piece FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
