The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Marsilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlastimil Šturm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Marsilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vlastimil Šturm, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Stanovice:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Redchiaps FC:s goal. Stanovice:s Torben Drieø showed great skill when he stopped Francesco Ceccarelli:s penalty. The supporters of Stanovice booed when Redchiaps FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Doris didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Bruno during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Marsilio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan John went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Torben Drieø came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Redchiaps FC's Francesco Ceccarelli. But to his dismay, Francesco Ceccarelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Redchiaps FC's Angelo Marsilio got control of the ball when Jan John tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Stanovice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslav Trávník to maneuver through the defense. Jan John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Angelo Marsilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torben Drieø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Ceccarelli in the 43rd minute of play. Francesco Ceccarelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jan Rott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stanovice's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Rott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Marsilio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
If Jan John had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Vlastimil Šturm came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Stanovice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vlastimil Šturm couldn't finish the play. Jan Prchal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Marsilio having to interfere. Jan John sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Angelo Marsilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stanovice's Vlastimil Šturm got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the game, Stanovice's Vlastimil Šturm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Marsilio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
